Collection Instructions
Specimen Handling 1.0 mL EDTA plasma or Serum. Specimen at 2-25 oC must be spun within 24 hours of collection to remove plasma from the cells. Plasma may be stored at 2-8°C for up to 72 hours or frozen at -20°C or -80°C for up to 6 weeks. Send specimen frozen and on dry Ice.
Rejection Criteria Heparinized specimen. Plasma or Serum left on cells for > 24 hours
Methodology Reverse Transcriptase - Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction.
